“Getting a scholarship from the Blanche and Irving Laurie Foundation allowed me to focus on my training while I was at Circle, and because I wasn’t stressed about finances, I was able to grow as an actor. Circle’s given me so much, and now I have the tools to be both physically and emotionally specific. I can just as easily activate my system using specific personal and sense memories as reach a heightened state through the use of movement unique to the situation I’m portraying. With the training Circle gave me, I was able to book two shows right after graduating, one of which had a limited run at an off-Broadway theater.” – Johari
