Valeria Rivera-Pereira is an artist born in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Form a very early age she was involved in the arts taking dance and singing lessons. She developed her musical studies in The Conservatory of Music of Puerto Rico where she obtained her bachelor degree in Vocal Performance. While obtaining her degree, Valeria started working all around the theatre and music industry, participating in the operas Madama Butterfly, Othello, The Magic Flute, Tosca, I Pagliacci, and La Vida Breve; as well as the musicals Les Miserables and Mamma Mia.

Valeria participates constantly in choir ensembles such as Coral Lírica de Puerto Rico and Coral Filarmónica de San Juan with the Puerto Rico Symphony Orchestra. In the year 2017 she traveled to New York to study in the New York Film Academy 4 week Musical Theatre Program where she started developing her skills as an actor. Before graduating from her bachelor’s, Valeriadecided to contInue her learning experience in New York City and auditioned for The Circle in the Square Theatre School and got accepted. From then on, Valeriastarted opening up and being vocal of the importance of the BIPOC community in the theatre and focused her experience in the program to find every possibility to expose herself and to break the stereotypes of the industry as a Latinx artist.
