Mauritz is from Ghent, Belgium. He grew up going to musicals and theatre a lot as a kid but his interest in singing and drumming didn’t start until high school when he was asked by a teacher to sing at a school concert. After graduating high school he attend conservatory in Antwerp majoring in jazz drums but after seeing Les Miserables on a trip to London he reignited his love for musical theatre and two years later he auditioned for Circle in the Square and got in. After Circle he would like to try his hand at being a professional actor, but mainly get married and have a family and a happy life.
