“I remember learning really quickly the amount of focus that I needed to be a professional actor in that it wasn’t just about being talented or smart or quick, but about the amount of preparedness that I wanted to do to be as good as I knew I could be…and it wasn’t about the fact that I could do it, it was about did you leave the stage expressing what you felt needed to be expressed. And did you mean what you were doing. I guess that hadn’t occurred to me before I came here. That my point of view would matter…

It always felt like there was a “right” way to do something and if I got close to it then it was okay. But I feel like this place helps you be authentic and find your own way into material…You get a lot of different ideas, a lot of different classes, but at the end of the day whatever works for you is what they encourage you to use.”
