Lucille S. Rubin, Ph.D.

Voice I

Lucille Rubin coaches Broadway, television, broadcast and voice over performers. She is Director of Professionally Speaking and a founding member of VASTA (Voice and Speech Trainer’s Association).  Dr. Rubin coaches internationally, is a contributor to How to be a Working Actor and The Vocal Vision. In 2014 she received the V.E.R.A. award from The Voice Foundation for her outstanding contributions to the field of voice training.

“I teach for a voice that connects emotionally to the actor and audience, can  be clearly heard on stage and is free from vocal misuse. Performers need to know how their voices work: why they don’t and what can be done about it. I introduce vocal anatomy and physiology followed with voice production and perception skills with application to text. My goals for each student are that they will own their voices and design their own vocal method to fit their growing needs.”
