Three Plays for Grades K-6
…feature multicultural folktales adapted for the stage and performed by our graduates in fall and winter. Each performance is approximately fifty minutes, followed by a Q&A with the cast. Tickets are $5. Study guides are sent to K-6 teachers in advance and Actor In The Classroom workshops can be arranged at attending schools, to engage students before or after a performance. We host a reception for teachers and administrators, to discuss our plans for the season.
We’ve even been reviewed by the NY Times, with our talented alumni cast being toted as being able to “morph so effectively into forest creatures that it hardly matters that… [there is] no scenery. (The empty stage is later filled with the set for The Miracle Worker.)” View the full review here
Of course, our hardest critics are our target audience, who love these plays.
