FINDING A PLACE TO LIVE
Though we will help as much as possible, it is up to the student to find a place to live. We suggest an in person search for housing whenever possible so you know what you are getting. We’ve provided some suggestions below, and will continually update this page, however, if you discover that one of these links is inactive, has changed information, etc. – please email at wkaufman@circlesquare.org and let us know.
IT’S EXPENSIVE…ESPECIALLY AT THE BEGINNING
Most apartments initially require a security deposit and first and last month’s rent. Be prepared with how much you will need to have up front, as well as month to month to keep afloat.
JUST IN CASE YOU DON’T FIND ANYTHING
If you are unsuccessful by the start of school, secure temporary housing for the first couple of weeks and call the School at 212-307-0388 so that we can keep our ears open for potential roommates/housing for you. We will try to pair you up with others who are also still searching and let you know of any new listings we hear of as they come in. But once you’ve paid your deposit, we highly recommend taking advantage of the Housing Forum on the Current Students page.
BE PREPARED FOR A FRUSTRATING SEARCH
Please don’t get discouraged. It is a difficult, expensive rental market. CHECK BACK OFTEN
The Circle Community will post on the Housing Forum as they have need, and that need can ebb and flow, so keep checking back to see what new posts there might be.
If you have already submitted your contract, your deposit, have received your password and would like to view the Housing Forum to either post an ad or browse, visit Current Students
