Filing Your FAFSA

Step 1:

Actors wishing to receive financial aid must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

To complete the FAFSA, applicants (and guardians of the applicant if still a dependent) must first obtain an FSA ID from the Federal Student Aid Identification website. They may then follow the instructions on the FAFSA to complete it online and submit it to Circle. The following information will be helpful in completing the FAFSA:

  • Your Federal Income Tax Return
  • Your parents’ Federal Income Tax Returns if you are dependent.
Need help determining if you’re dependent, click here.
  • Question 47 on the FAFSA should be answered “NO” regardless of what degrees you hold. The Department of Education recognizes Circle as an Undergraduate level of study for the purposes of Financial Aid.
  • The Institution Code for Circle in the Square Theatre School is 014760

To receive financial aid for the following school year, the FAFSA should be completed by June 1. If you are applying to Circle, it is strongly recommended that you complete your FAFSA during your application process to expedite disbursement of aid.

Scholarships at Circle have a different set of criteria, which can be found on our Scholarships page.
